Just sounds like a marketing stunt to me, so the uploaders get more downloads at start = they'll stick with you longer.

Will be corrected eventually? You could've not allowed this from start.. earnings dropped by 40%

Of course it's marketing strategy. Fileserve isn't running a charity here. Do you think it will be economically viable for FS in the long run to let free users download files simultaneously? They have to sell premium in order to pay the uploaders and keep their high quality of service up.

Well ofcourse, but I would've preferred if they didn't allow that from start, now every uploader will be dissapointed in their earnings, just like with HF when they implemented the rank system

I saw same "uproar" when we added ReCaptcha, because that stopped free users dead on their tracks of leaving the PC and downloading. People have a tendency to become greedy.
