• Constant communication, on a regular basis, with the client, throughout duration of project
• Knows when to add just the right amount of eye candy to a site
• Aims for quality, and not necessary perfection in code (indentation, semantic markup, code reuse, etc)
• Is bold enough to stand up to the client when a client's idea doesn't make any sense
• If on a team, is able to work well with other team members as well as communicate ideas between team members.
• Is always on top of his game, with respect to the latest technologies out there. More importantly, knows when and when not to use what he has learned.
• Loves what he does no because of the money but because of they actually derive satisfaction from their work
• Doesn't necessarily know everything but knows enough of everything, enough to be dangerous
• Isn't a loud mouth. Doesn't toot his own horn. Let's his work speak for itself.
• Identifying the products and services.
• A webmaster should be aware of the competitors.
• Learning to know if the chosen venture is feasible.
• Business planning and projected price of products and services.
• Should know the legal issues regarding business legitimacy.
