suphp + xcache vs dso + eaccelerator for VPS?
Which would be the fastest for a medium sized VPS server with 5~ sites running on it?

However, you can give dso + eaccelerator a try!
However, xcache is also worth a try!!!
I would be in better position to reply if you can also tell, what is config of your VPS?
EDIT:
If you wish to go for eaccelerator then, Here is a workaround for better performance, Configure PHP and Suexec and select dso handler. That should let your eaccelerator work fine!
If you not satisfied by the answer, you may wish to elaborate your scope of question!
