How do you ban a whole country/region?

I need a way to ban a whole country/region from accessing one of my sites, anyone know of a quick and effective way of blocking/redirecting all traffic from a specific country/region?

Any help would be appreciated.

You could use an .htaccess file to do the blocking. There is a website that will generate such a file for you. Here is the link: http://www.blockacountry.com.

^^ How can you know for sure it blocks all? how does it work block ip range for ISPs?

Yeap, was going to suggest to block IP ranges but that site seems to work fine.

(You could copy/paste the ranges and block them through vBulletin but .htaccess works too)
