Mr Happy we surely understand, u should always add a donation link in the first post.

btw i tried it on 3.1.2. it works with errors.

can not identify links.

when existing links found it gives error but also posts
why add HF and RS at the start of the post, instead putting it in the description..?

how Prevent Duplicate Links feature work? because it seems to work for new links only and not any old posted link...

Noted your reply. In the next update I'll add an option so you can have it add the prefix (RS, HF, etc) to the Description. Nice idea. Thanks.

I haven't looked or even downloaded 3.1.2 so I don't know what they changed. I'll have to have a look. It was coded for IPB 3.0 and I think they brought in a new system of adding hooks in 3.1 which allows better integration of plugins. This will prevent it braking on future updates I believe. I'll get around to it asap.

another note:
try to add a feature where it will run a bot to index all links first to the table. (for new users)

also some posts have over 100 links, try to limit indexing/checking to first 10 links or 20.

some posts have one link like other posts and the rest is different.. there isn't a similarity ratio to accept/deny links.

for example: if 75% of links are already found -> refuse post, else accept.

EDIT

with time, the table will grow in a crazy manner! add a cleaning feature to remove entries from the download_links table when the topic is moved to trash or deleted.

when i enable this i get lot of mysql gone away errors which disappears on disabling this hack
