Question About CentOS VPS
I have ordered a CentOS VPS (32bit) , i used YUM to install PHP, it took me more than 1 hour to wait
, i cant even use YUM to install other things, i use KILL to end the YUM process, but it is useless, then i try to reboot the VPS from SSH but it does not change anything as well. Then, after 1 hour waiting, i use VPS Control Panel (HyperVM) to reboot the VPS, and my VPS go offline... i cant SSH access to the VPS. What have i done wrong ?
Also, sometimes when using VPS, i used YUM to install some things (from 1MB -> 2MB), it run well at the beginning but in the end i have to waited (at least 10 minutes) to see the command line again (the process stuck, cant kill , cant do anything, have to wait), it is normal to a VPS ? (i have used linux in my Virtual Machine, but i am new to a VPS)HuuYaa Reviewed by HuuYaa on . digitalbattlefield.net imgnow.coEither you have a bad installation of CentOS (which I doubt) or you host has filled the node you are on with too many VPS's and now you are suffering the slowness
?Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.?

Hi,
Its Simple the hardware node on which you are having VPS is simply oversold . And the point where you are not able to download 1-2MB installation files also means . Hosting provider is allowing Rapidleech and other remote uploading scripts on his VPS Service.
Thank you.

Now VPS has started, but when using YUM it seems to take forever to complete... just simple yum install proftpd and it took 30 minutes to complete... How can i know if the hosting provider is overselling ? i mean is there any command help to identify that ?
