Put it in the footer of your template.

Actually Google re-wrote their code and now advise you to put it in the header. Originally they wanted you to put it in the footer to prevent slow loading of your page but that meant it wasn't as accurate or record people that that close the page before it was fully loaded.

Now their code loads with the rest of the page and doesn't affect the loading of the page so by putting it in the header you get more accurate traffic records.

dont use the code ... just upload the given file to ur root server ...

Add this at the end of the footer template not your footer.php file in the root.
