i charge what i see fit. if i dont get the job, well thats life. You cant win them all, and trying to adjust your price just so you get the job may be ok for some, but not for me.

Long and short, its nobody's business what i charge, to whom i charge, except mine . Pretty soon people will recognise your quality of work, whether good or bad, and be willing to pay X dollars based on your prior reputation.

If your not getting work, its nobody elses fault but your own. You can either take that piece of advice and cry/flame, or take it on board and do something about it. Same goes for threads when people ask for bumps/etc. Instead, why not ask yourself WHY its not popular...??

Well, most people here you are saying "Cheap Shit" go for GFXers who do their work for less money. (This is a fact).

I mostly do GFX work free for people. I charge the new users, and after their 2nd request, I basically do their work for free and when then try to pay, I tell them, no need, if they wish, they can donate.

So this makes some sense.
Selling a basic 1 page simple PSD for 10$ is good. If it gets sold, then the designer gets some motivation to try further and make a better designs. Its like the more you design, the more you excel.

I always suggest beginners to start up as free designers and help other people with their new skill [thats what I did]. Once they get enough practice, then can work cheaper to train themselves to design in professional manner. As you are cheap, you get more orders. So you learn more.

Now, when you get highly skilled enough and be known by many people, you can raise your price to just any above $100, no one would complain about it.

Just my 2cents.

And if there is one guy selling with 10$ and you are selling with 40$ then yeah i will go with the first one.

You need to understand that its business.
Cheaper price WILL sell.

You can sell one designe with 40$ in a week but these guys will sell 20 designes with 10$ in a week.

So in the end they will make more $$$ then you and thats business 101

Not true. i paid 35 for a bunch of awesome buttons and avatars from flash and 15 to elio for an awesome logo. I payed someone 5 dollars to make a logo and it was horrible.
