Using private filehost ... how to link ...?

Hi,

I am planning to use one of my high capacity VPSes as a private filehost. (Private in the way other people cannot upload).

-DL from filehost with RL into directory on filehost
-then publish links on forums (myfilehost/directory/file)
-Forum visitor clicks on link and get directed to an ad page before being able to download direct.

It's a little bit like an imagehost ... but instead of seeing an image they see a link ...

How can I do this without too much effort? Can use MySQL.

You could probably do that with a simple script like this http://www.x10media.com/filehost-script

Just disable registration and you shouldn't get too many complaints if it looks like you run a file host. MySQL should not even be a large problem unless you do a shit-ton of downloads

I can find 1.2 in google and on DGT server but it seems I am unable to find 1.3
