Getting rid of /index.php/

I need some help with my ipb forum.
all the links are like index.php?/forum/4-news-center/
How do i get rid of the index.php?
I want the urls to look like /forum/4-news-center.html

Go to:
AdminCP > Tools & Settings > System Settings > Server Environment > Use .htaccess mod_rewrite

Make a .htaccess file using the code provided, upload it to the directory where the forum is installed.

Check the box "Yes" next to "Use .htaccess mod_rewrite".

Done.

nvm i fixed it. do you know how i can add the .html too lol
