Photoshop CS5 [Shape Selection Issue]

Ok, I recently downloaded CS5 as I formatted my PC so CS3 was gone.

Everything is running smooth, but I'm having one issue with shapes selections.

When you press Ctrl + Left Click on the layer icon to select the outline of the shape, it selects the whole canvas. If you rasterize the shape and then do the same, it works perfect, I mean it selects the outline only (what it should do).

So, how can I do the same without rasterizing the shapes ? to create selection of the outline.

Is this a bug ? or just a new shit feature of CS5

what are yuo clicking on? The grey/white shape layer or the red layer? You gotta click the grey bit not the red bit
