Hello !
I've made this guide myself as I've seen a lot of people wanting to start movie and/or TV show streaming sites. This is mostly a basic guide, however it contains all material you'll need to start!


# 1 ? The Beginning

Ever wanted to make your own movie/TV streaming site?
Did you know that if you manage to get your site popular and filled with content, you can earn littarely thousands of dollars a month;



But you might want to know HOW you can start ?
In this guide (made by me, Anarkien) I will show you how you can go from SCRATCH to have your own movie site - (almost) free (hosting, etc)!

# 2 ? How To Start

Well, first off you'll need a reliable and good hosting - preferably offshore so that you won't be (so) affected by the DMCA*.

I would recommend you to check on KWWHunction for offshore hosts and cheap offers some of them might have.
I would also recommend you to have your site in one of these countries;
- China/Hong Kong
- Netherlands
- Russia
- and maybe Japan

If you browse KWWHunction, or just use some of the advertised hosts you should be in good hands. But remember; if you get a DMCA you would be smart if you took some kind a action to prevent further complications.
And remember that if you're in it for the long run, you should probably invest in a dedicated server when your site becomes popular.

You would also need a domain name. It should be fairly short and easy to remember.
Something like "watchmyfavoriteawesomemovies.com" is hard to remember, long and just not something an average person would care to write in.
Finding a good and available name might not be easy, but you should really spend some time with this, as it'll be how your visitors can visit you. If it's too complicated none will come.

# 3 ? Scripts | Templates | CMS

This is also a thing you should think twice about before chosing.
Your CMS, template and/or script should be easy to use, both for you and your visitors. DLE is not a very good script to use for this purpose, however Joomla and WordPress are both good CMS'!

# 4 ? Monetize Your Website

Alright. For a lot of you this might be the most interesting part - How do I earn money from it?!

Well, there are several ways you can earn money from your movie / tv show site(s). The most common these days is to use a CPA (Cost Per Action) affiliate network. However, not everyone will or can complete a CPA offer, so such a monetizing method will "scare" off quite a few of your visitors.

Though, if you want to use such a method, the following affiliate networks would be good:
- CPALead(.com)
- CPAWay(.com)

If you want to get maximum (returning) visitors, you would have to find another way ... I would suggest uploading the movies/shows to hosts such as NovaMov or MegaUpload, and then earn money each time one of your clips is viewed.

Nice guide its very informative As far as I know many CPA networks don't allow copyrighted material, ones being CPALead and AdscendMedia and im sure many other don't allow that too. Hopefully its just for the time being but there are many other ways to monetize your site

Yes, that is true. However, a lot of major TV streaming sites are using CPAWay and/or CPALead as far as I know, so I assume they must be paid aswell as they keep using 'em.
Though, as you can see #4 is quite small, so I think I'll update that part later on !

Thats true, you can also use CPM but unless you are getting more than 1000 visits a day i wouldn't even bother with CPM as it doesn't convert well. If you get a good CPA network with Content Locker you can just use an email submit and make a good sum of money but you can also use surveys but I doubt people would want to take a survey as their will always be other alternatives to movie sites

That's also right Flash. That's why you have to provide something unique on your site, something that is either hard or "impossible" to find on other sites, or else people will just go to non-CPA sites. However, that's up to each person to find out, I wouldn't reveal any such secrets, hehe.

Yea I also have some secrets that would work great with CPA and actually work with movie sites and not get your account suspended
