How do i .. make images not take me to direct link?

When you click images on my forum, posted in a thread with [IMG]url[/IMG] it takes u to the direct path of that image which sucks

i use an image of a download icon for downloads, but it also opens up a tab with the url path of that image, how do i disable that.

so when they get click instead they will get zoomed instead of redirecting to the url
