Prob With my PC :| (Help!!)

Well guyz ... suddenly i've got this strange prob ...

it's when i play any kind of games or use something that uses more power of CPU

my monitor suddenly shuts down but my hard disk still is running !!

in that i need to restart and then when i use the game or something again it happeneds again

and today a strange thing ... when i was using the encoding app ... instead of the monitor shut down thing the pc restared ....

i 1st thougt it's GFX card .... as it may not be taking the load ... but then it maybe somethng else too

my pc config :-

P4 2.66GHZ
1GB RAM
512MB GS8400 Nvedia card

and here are some temprature and etc things ... if u wish to see

it sounds like you need more than i gig of ram, i use 8 gig and have no problems.

Maybe upgrade your ram.

huh upgrading the ram would help me in this ? ....

yes it will help, because 1 meg of ram is just enough to run windows and a couple of apps before it crashes, so upgrading your ram would give you less chances of crashing, min you should upgrade is 4 GB - max 8 GB.

hmm ... well i've been using win xp and i'm still using it ....

been useing it extencively from like 2-3 years ....

have changed the HDD 4 months ago .... and nothing else.... in these 4 months also i've used the PC extenciely .. but never got a prob !!

hmm ... really ? so is it coz of overheating .... but the thing is monitor shuts and the CPU keeps on running

Ah which program is that that moniters the temps ?

Its your CPU, if the computer keeps restarting its because teh CPu is getting to hot, it may be messed up or something. If not try getting a better fan. I also recommend you get atleast 2gbs of RAM.
