PHP File transfer progress bar

Basically i need the transload progress bar on RapidLeech without all the crud in there. I couldn't even figure out how it does what it does.

Even if it just shows percentage transfered, i am happy.

I know i need to do it with fsocketopen and fgets however i dont know exactly how i am supposed to advance from there.

If someone have done bits of codes on this, please share! I am basically trying to make a minimalistic version of RapidLeech that helps to transfer LARGE files from one server to another (such as backup a megasite) where wget or shell access is not available.
