DDLRank.com: Now accepting Warez Blogs

Since there was lotsa demand for adding a "Warez blogs" category on DDLRank.com I have finally decided to add them.

In order to request the listing of your website please send an email to webmaster[at]twilight[dot]ws with "DDLRank Listing Request" as subject and include the following things:

• Your Website URL
• Your E-Mail

PS: It would be nice if some of you added the optional backlink code you can find on the contact page of ddlrank.com, this way the website get's better search engine rankings and YOU get MORE traffic!

Nice addition. I love the site and think it's a brilliant idea but I still think their's way more potential for this. I think it was litewarez that suggested before to have a landing page for each site. This could have extra info on the site (again scraped and cached on a cron) like a tumbnail image of the site, an alexa graph, maybe the meta description to describe the site. It could also host stuff that doesn't change often like templates for AutoPosters like Jay's of Sharpleech. In otherwords stuff that never changes so you don't have to keep updating. These sorta things would generate a lot more traffic as theirs actually some content that people could use. It would also have some real content that Google could index instead of something it probably sees as a link farm.

I know it's more work for a small project with no income and you'd probably prefer to spend time on Twilight or Whoo.ws so maybe they're just be ideas for the future.

Their's also quiet a few large sites missing like CyberWarez.info or DDLsite.com and other which will never email you so your better off just adding them yourself.

If you go through all that trouble I think a on site submission of websites (simle form) would be easier so you can add alot of ddls, blogs,and warez forums. Oh ya I really like that idea of a simple on-site submission form. If you want to manually approve them to prevent spam that would be fine. In the site form you could add an optional small description which would be used instead of the default meta description on the new landing page.

More work but it would be cool on the landing page if it said it was IPB, PHPBB, vB, SMF, MyBB etc. At lease for the very large ones anyway as the likes of WBB, KatzForums, WarezLobby aren't going to change the script they use.

Not sure about the comments. Wouldn't be that active so one or to comments saying how great a small shitty site is will look odd. I've always though the site comments on alexa were a waste of time with their being so few and alexa is far bigger although you do have to register which is more of an effort. Their'd be no harm in trying it I suppose.

If you had a few unique features like this and started getting a bit of traffic you could make it compulsary for small sites too add a link back if they want to be on the list. eg every site under 200k or 500k alexa has to have a link back if they want to be on the list as nobody really cares about sites lower than this on a list anyway. It would help save a bit of resourses too not having to crawl for every tiny site that exists.

I've always loved this site from the first moment you came up with it in the SB so it's great to see even the smallest of updates.

Yeah am im sure the end result would be amazing. Why not talk to whoo, maybe you can update it with some of the features discussed.


Id also like to add that you might be right about the comment system, however if there is no sign up I think it might get some more activity.

I also like the idea for backlink on sites over 200k of alexa. This could become a really good project and an awesome site. I know your busy whoo, but you do code rather fast from what ive seen.
