I myself use namecheap.com as they provide free whois protection but I believe the use of godaddy and a promo code will provide you with the cheapest domain price of $7.49... There are some sites that do a mass promotional offer and offer domain registrations for $1 but I haven't seen that many around recently. Hope I have helped.

i use Namecheap myself for alot of teh same reasons Insurgent does,free whois.. and can always google up a coupon to use for discounts on new domains

i already use 3 domain that are register through namecheap... but its rates are little bit higher than other am i rite ???

I believe godaddy offer greater discounts on promo codes but don't offer Comodo PositiveSSL or whoish guard for free... This is the reason why more users pick namecheap over godaddy. You are gaining a much better deal.
