Urgent advice needed

I had ordered a N900 on 30th June from this website: www.storecoin.com. It had the phone listed for 22K. Payment was made via online banking. For a week there was no update to the status of my order and I finally decided to call these guys and they said that they had "accidentally" put up the wrong price for the phone.

They gave me two choices pay the balance (Rs. 2500- why would I buy it from these guys then... might as well get it from Croma) or get a refund. I asked them to refund my money.

It's been 3 weeks; some 50 calls (most of the time they don't even bother to answer); 11 emails (which they NEVER respond to) and 1 service request on their website (which was never responded to) and they keep saying they will look into it.

The website seems to be owned by some Karthik Raja fellow who seems to be in his late 20s.

What do you guys suggest I do? As I was an idiot not to pay by paypal, I cannot raise a dispute there... What police looks into such cases? Would it be the cyber crime cell?

I'm assuming you paid via your bank account, talk to your bank and get the payment canceled

call your bank if payment was done via credit card tell them you have been scammed by someone!payment was done which date exactly etc!tell them you sent the guy email!he is not responding till now!if the guy is from the same country then u can fill a case a against him!do call your bank immediately!

It seems that someone from storecoin also reads this forum. They contacted me (ಠ_ಠ !) and said they'd be depositing a cheque with my money today.

@mr.log: Thanks for the info, man! Appreciate the offer. I chose to buy it from these guys because I'm stupid to fall for the price which was around 3K lesser than anywhere else. (and stupider to not use my bloody PayPal account)
