PasteBot.appspot.com[Help] How to Create and Code a vBulletin Forum Skin ?
Hi
I was thinking of making a new vBulletin Forum Skin But I have the following Questions
[1] I read this Tutorial [TUT][Photoshop]How to Create a Forum Skin
So Do I have to Make everything in Photoshop ? Meaning -
Suppose in a VB forum there is written Welcome, ajinkya9 Logout etc on the Top Right corner of a vB forum. Should I type it as text while designing a vB skin in Photoshop ?
[2]Can I try selling my PSD ?
Does anyone buy Forum Skins ?
If yes, How much can I get for an average Skin ?
I have no knowledge on Coding vB skins. Can I still Sell an Uncoded Forum Skin PSD ?
[3]How can I code my Skin?
I have basic knwledge of HTML, JavaScript, PHP, CSS
I also know a little about StyleVars
Is there anyy tutorial out there which teaches how to code a vBulletin a Skin?
Please help me by answering my questions
Another Question
[4] Is there any miin/max size for Buttons, Bars etc. ?
meaning, should the Post buttons be min 100x25 px in Size.
Is there any rule like that ?ajinkya9 Reviewed by ajinkya9 on . [Help] How to Create and Code a vBulletin Forum Skin ? HotNewHipHop.comYes a lot of people buy forums skins, the price depends on how good it looks
and yes you can write the Welcome, user text in photoshop while designing it
and yes 90% of skins here are sold uncoded (just the PSD) and they hire coders to code it for them

1. Yes you would write what you want it to say so the end user and the coder will have idea of the overall look and feel.
2. There are people who buy psds, and the price will depend on how good your forum psd looks. The more time spent the more money gained.
3. Not sure of a tutorial, but if you have basic knowledge go take a look at some of the skins already there. Shouldn't be 2 hard for you then.
4. Since its your skin and your design the size of the buttons should be whatever you think will look best. Please follow signature rules

PSD to vBulletin Theme
I have been searching my brains out looking for information on how to take the photoshop design that I created, and cut/code it into a vBulletin theme/skin. I know css is required, and I know that an xml file needs to be created. But I don't know HOW to do any of this.
Can anybody give me a hint on how to actually take my PSD file and code it into a xml file for a vBulletin theme?
Any help at all would be greatly appreciated.
