It all depends on what CMS,Forum Software,Plug-ins,mods,server load, quality of the hoster etc etc you have installed on your website.
iam using forum (mybb)...

not really limited. It is based on ur site. How much it loads the server on certain no. of users. For example

A site has 1000 ppl online right now & has just 0.1 load on the server than its ok but a site that has 500 ppl online right now can have load like 2 or something & that may be problem with hoster so in all it depends on ur site. How much queries it runs per page etc
I will say based on what server spec your host is using
If its a VPS or low end dedi, the server load will get high very soon and so they will allow a very few daily visitors but if they have a high end server, they wont care much about untill you get 500-600 users online at a time
i have average number of online visiters about 75, but it rise up to 150 ...
and i have received warning in my control panel about cpu usage..

As others have said it all depends so more info would really help. However their are lots of things you can do to a site to reduce server load.

With blogs you can use a cache system but with forums it's slightly more difficult but their are a few things. Most if not all these things are done by WBB, PornBB and other large sites.
Turn off display users online in the footer. If you've a shoutbox make sure it's not showing to guests and only to registered members. Even better is to remove it.
Add a flood control limit for searches. eg on WBB it's 30 seconds. even better if your site is fully open to Google is to use Google Custom Search on your site. I've done this in the past for Cyberwarez and I've a tutorial here on KWWHunction of how to do this. KatzForums also use this technique. Hire a good coder to optomize your skin. By using stuff like CSS sprites you can reduce http requests which will not only speed up your site but reduce server load. This is an example of one of Katz CSS Sprites

Their are lots lots more techniques but I'd really need to know what forum script your using. If done right you could probably get upto 3k users online maybe even as much as 5k on a good shared hosting.
wow great information, i'll do what you said...
i don't think that i can handle more than 200 online, and the daily visits about 2500 visits (is that bad?)

and the yesterday cpu usage was :

CPU Time: 1501.05s
Execution Time: 312687.07s
CPU Usage: 4.34% (my limit=4.5)
Average Memory: 2.12 MB
Processes: 4209

what do you think about this?
