i just upgraded to vB4 and i got a database error on my site for some reason http://www.wrestlingace.com/ anyone know how to fix this ?

Did you just upload the VB files to your root directory and then run the upgrade.php?

If you did the first and NOT the second then you need to run the upgrade.php (found in the install directory) DO NOT run install.php

If you did both of them you need to do the 2nd part of the error report:- The datastore cache may have been corrupted. Run Rebuild Bitfields from tools.php, which you can upload from the do_not_upload folder of the vBulletin package.

In the zip file you downloaded should be a directory: DO_Not_Upload.

In that directory will be the file tool.php, copy this to the root directory of your site and then run that.

Then select:- Rebuild Bitfields. This should solve the problem/s

when i opened the tool.php file then how do i Rebuild Bitfields.?

look for the config.php @ inlcudes if it fucked

Did you copy it to the root directory?

If no then upload to your root directory then do below

If yes then point you browser to www.yoursite/tools.php and then follow the instructions

it says on http://www.wrestlingace.com/tools.php to upload here Please place this file within the admincp / install folder so i uploaded in /public_html/admincp and then when i go to wrestlingace.com it says Fatal error: The requested language does not exist, reset via tools.php. in [path]/includes/functions.php on line 1488

well basically i had vB3 and my partner fucked it up so i deleted everything then got vB4 and had to upload over 2000 files to the FTP and then it said database error and now i dunno what is going on

edit config.php and add this line right under <?php

define('DISABLE_HOOKS', true);
