Quality over quantity. Suggestion.
You know what I see on this forum..alot of quantity. Everyone trying to offer the same service and try to lower prices lower every single day. Some are on the right track by not offering "Unlimited" because technically there isn't such thing while others do etc.
This is my suggestion I don't know if people would like it or not but if perhaps a thread starter submitted his specifications of his server to the mods to verify and then post it on their threads it would help clients know what they are actually getting on.
How many times do we see a thread that says "1Gbit" when in reality most have 5-10TB with that 1Gbit or is shared amongst other users. Or have 16GB RAM when is DDR2 and not DDR3. You can see the difference once you have the VPS and check.
You know what I don't see often though? The amount of space and what kind of drives they are. Are they cheap desktop drives being used? Or RAID specific drives? Is it HW or SW raid? etc

I definitely agree with you my friend. All new threads should be placed in the moderator queue for acceptance.

Why not apply these suggestions to your own service and surpass others. Seems more logical than bringing your competitors up along with you.

@Benign: I will bring my own services soon. I have been a user myself of many of the services listed here and know from experience what a person should be receiving and what they shouldn't. I also handle servers myself so I have experience handling many of them.
Perhaps if my cards play out right I will offer some competitive prices + quality at the same time. In this market anyone can buy a $9.99 domain ..get some cheap webhosting and "start a company".

Well OldSpice, i agree with what you saying,
You see quantity over here more than quality, because most of the users over here use their vps or dedicated servers for stuff like torrenting or rapidleech etc which dsnt need to have raid 10 or any professional features.
Users over here mostly look for quantity, they really dont care if you are using SATA hard drives or IDE, 5k or 7.2. They dont care about the quality, whoever offers the best and the cheapest deal, they go out with them.
For Example: When we launched out Gbit plans, we offered 2 TB Bandwidth
with each vps, but we didnt get a single order, the moment we made it unmetered, we got filled up.
Also Many of the users over here are Students,so off course they wont
be able to pay for Quality services. But i see some companies around
trying to offer quality with quantity .
Just my 2 centsIntel Xeon E3 -1240 16 GB DDR3 Ram 4 x 1 TB HDD 1 Gbit 100 TB BW -
Location:Netherlands 185 Euros/Month- PM me to order
