It needs to be said again - if someone's account is hacked, it is because that account is not properly protected.

1) use a strong password
2) the email account associated with the affiliate account needs to be protected - if you're using something like gmail or hotmail - use a strong password.
2a) do not use an email account which is used on other sites - people often use the same passwords with the same email account. DO NOT DO THIS

3) protect your computer - antivirus, malwarebytes, etc. run regular scans. keyloggers can get you. be vigilant.
