Site name is ok, .info tld is also good, because it means Information. And now, about the enter page. You should remove it, but if you want to leave it, better fix this:

Because without that "border=0" there is a default border around the image.

Even though, I don't prefer such enter pages like yours. Forum isn't open to the guests, so I can't tell you anything about the forum categories and their descriptions.

Banner is? I don't know really, I wouldn't say that those "images" on your forum are one banner at all. That image looks like few advertise banners. Try to get yourself some banner.

Trendcounter isn't needed in footer, neither that other counter. Those safe for visit icons from Norton and McAfee aren't even linked.

Now about your other site, SouthernStarFTA.com

I can't say anything about the name, because I don't even understand the meaning of the site. TLD is good, and I prefer .com TLD always even though most of my domains are .net.

You need to work on the banner on this site too, because it looks like "nothing". Safe for Web icons aren't linked on this one too, so your better link them and find someone who would review your site on Norton and McAfee safe for web sites.

Forum content is locked on this one too, so I can't say anything about forum categories and their descriptions. I don't prefer templates like Ambient Lighting but some people do.
