    Default Is Software RAID reliable?

    I never try software raid yet but only hardware raid. Should I go for software raid?

    Software raid has the advantage that it's all in software.

    If your raid hardware dies, you can run the array on any hardware, you don't need to replace it with something with the same chipset.
