How to take screenshots of a Movie Without Playing

I am using a VPS..but as my Internet speed is not so high these days....my vps acts a bit shaky. I usually upload movies and i am facing problem while taking individual screenshots of the movie by playing it in Windows Media player classic...Taking Thumbs is not a problem...as i use Cheshirecat's Thumbnails...

Please let me know..if i can grab few screenshots of the movie...without playing it at all.

There is this app called ThumbnailMe for your windows VPS.

If you use Linux you can use mtn =]

Are you on a windows or linux vps?

I am guessing you are on a windows VPS, as far as i remember, thumbnailme doesn't require you to play but it's being some time since I have used it so I can't rmb well.

yeah i am on windows vps...ok...lemme try this and find it out..i know to make thumbnails i dont need to play the movie...I was asking...to take individual screenshots of the movie...can it do ?

Yup you can choose if you want to scale it down, don't scale it down and it would be in full size.

I think you need to try media player classic.. that offers screenshots coz what it does is scan the movie file and put them in 1 jpg file

As i mentioned above..MPC is good...but its a bit shaky as my internet speed is not so fast
