    Heyy guys!!! I learnt C++ in school, but it was all console(i.e. DOS, which runs using CMD). Now if i want to make a Visual Application that runs on Windows, can i do it using the knowledge of C++ that i have??

    Like use some other app, that develops GUI!!!

    Please help me out!!!

    Yes you can, but I recommend you to learn C#, easier and better supported @ WWW.

    Just download and install Visual Studio 2010 and start the dev.

    That's very hand desiboy but I think it's easier for a noob to start directly with VS2010, there are plenty of noob tutorials on the web.

    Visual Studio 2010 is better according to me may be... coz It rockz and i started learning since yesterday!

    Visual Studio 2010 includes VC++, that might be the best step for you if you already have C++ knowledge and don't want to get into C# or co.

    Either way, I agree with l0calh0st, getting into C# would be a pretty good idea since it's much easier to find tutorials and other common solutions on the web.

    theres no need to learn c# , just to make GUI apps,
    but it's always good to learn new languages
