A lot of hosts say that they don't allow warez hosting .. but they allow nulled scripts.. but aren't nulled scripts warez too?

Well nulled scripts are still copyrighted work but in some countries they dont give a F... and you don't run into the chances of getting shutdown for running a nulled script as much as hosting warez

@clowner what accyuklad is saying is right but i am going to add on that well with nulled scripts its self used and with warez hosting other people is downloading so
people download=bad for many companies
nulles scripts = bad for only yourself and the company what makes the legit scripts.

well nulled scripts take a while before they try shut you down but with warez hosting more chances of people reporting your download link

there is hosting companys that do allowed nulled scripts and dont give a shit about dmca

It's all about the Datacenter. Jelsoft, Invision Power Board, and other companies that own commercial forum software actually became famous because of their nulled software, not because of their legit release.

They wanted that their forum scripts get nulled, if they didn't want it they would add stronger protection, but they wouldn't become famous if everyone has to pay for it.

When you use nulled script and your forum gets big you would need to pay the license or you would go to court, as I said they wouldn't try to shut down your site, they would simply sue you to get some money. Many warez forum owners bought the license after their forum got quite big.

Anyhow,
When you send pirate report about some site to the Jelsoft, they automatically send their bot on the site which sends to the administrator and hoster auto generated email.

Most of the hosters would probably suspend the site because they don't want to risk, but really, Jelsoft nor any other commercial forum software company does not give a fuck about small forums. They won't try to get you shut down, nor they will sue you.

You're wrong. They don't ask hosting provider for your details, they ask domain registrar, there is no need of involving the hosting provider in the case since Jelsoft already knows that you don't have license because your domain isn't in their system.

They send email to the registrar that registrant of the domain is using nulled software and that they want his information so they can send him subpoena. They only ask registrar for registrant info if you use Private WHOIS.
