2 ways to find a good host
hej guys,
a lot of people hate down times. one way to find a good host site is to put /whmcs/serverstatus.php after the host domain. most hosts have activated the option there. so if the domain of the host seller is host2.com
go to host2.com /whmcs/serverstatus.php
then you will see for how long the server is been online, mine is very good and online for 16 days now.
another way is to go pingdom.com and register free and add a website hosted on a host company and add like its ur site. then u can test for 1,2 weeks? and see it yourself. you can see the load time average per time, uptime etc
hope to helped u guys

It's always good to restart the servers every now and again. We run a weekly reboot to dump all the cached information and memory to keep things running fast. However WHMCS doesn't show the reason for downtime. Therefore going on the, to be honest, pretty shitty uptime monitor to pick your host you'd be an idiot.
And this pingdom, It's a hosted service therefore you'd get their DC connectivity results, not your own which makes this pointless.
Anywho, I've always thought
a) ask around for reccomendations. a good place to look is here: http://www.google.co.uk
b) And follow that with a quick search on popular forums for example web hosting talk to ensure others haven't had too many issues with them...
just my two cents
