Not a gr8 move. Since your aiming that message to companies and not customers. What if customers still post in the companys thread? Its not the company's fault is it it's the clients.

The thread owner was helping his/her customer IN the thread.

If the thread owner said "Please email or contact me" or something. Then they won't get closed.

If the thread owner actively participates then its his/her fault
