    Default Must have security settings/apps

    I'm on a Debian vps.
I need to secure my server, fast as possible.

Any good/must have things to improve my security?

    I'm a newbie.

Yes i know, first, i need a firewall , but which one? I can't configure iptables.

(I know there's a security tuts forum in this board too, but i just need the most important security things.)

I will give thanks forever, just pls somebody write something.

Secure ssh by changing the port, or installing fail2ban (sudo apt-get install fail2ban)

Just 2 websites. I don't want to use other things, just websites.

you should hire someone to do this for you.
Seeing that you're not proficient in it, it's easier to screw things up.
This is the staff, you have been banned

I forgotten to say, but i have a control panel, called ispcp. That installed and configured a lot of things.
My previous server manager using it, that's why i installed it on my vps.
