I'm trying to create this effect in photoshop, however when I create the gradient it comes out all choppy.

I know I still need to add noise but this needs to be sorted first!

This can be a possibility :
Change your monitor resolution to 32 bit or the highest one available.
Even I have the same issues on large screens, but when I save the PSD and view them on smaller screens, the lines are gone.

I can create the 32bit PSDs atm it's on 12, but on 32bit it won't let me create new layers... you on msn?
