    Default Linux backup script

    Hello,

i am looking for a script with the following features:
compress a folder and split it into parts then upload it to an ftp server.
no backup files locally (if possible to upload while compressing to save space!)

it is a bash/perl script for sure manly for VPS machines with limited space.

can anyone point me to some script that can do it?

    thanks in advance.
