That is very funny because I am here in Canada where the misconception is polar bears roam the streets, penguins slide around every and we are all Eskimos.

We're in mid Lincs in the UK & never get any weather as bad as we're meant to - Until today. There's over a foot of snow out there & it's meant to be -8/-10 overnight!

Caused real problems around here, but then again I live in a country that ran out of gritting salt last year & mostly grinds to a halt with just 6 inches of snow

In Cyprus the 1st of December was the hottest day of December (winter) ever recorded here. I'm still wearing t-shirts here.

I deal with -20*C, -30*C, -40*C everyday. I get about 5-6 feet of snow every year. My winter is 8/9 months long. I ain't bitchin I love winer

Is anyone else having problems getting to work at the moment or is it just restricted to us in the UK?

I work from home
Doing shopping is real pain tho - i live in north-eastern europe, temperature right now is minut 12 degrees celsius, piles of snow sometimes reach knees and there are huge traffic jams everywere.
