If you can get the site big enough, you could toss some ads up or open a VIP/Donations. It just really depends on what you want to do with your site. But if you do create a site, the key to success is being different and dedication.

Most people don't open websites for money. You lose more money by having a site up.
It's for fun and hobby.

Yeah i want to do something that i enjoy and will have fun with but i wanted a way of making good money too.

No one is going to give you unique ideas

However, i would say a single one-purpose site is the best. Most people open up multi-purpose warez forums, which isn't bad, but... there are so many out there.
