Access RL in VPS by IP only

I have a Cent OS 5 VPS in which all basic components required for RL (like php5 etc ) are installed . I wanted to install RL in it , but was unable to access the RL , coz i dun have attached any domain name with it , can anyone tell how to access the RL with VPS IP only , where do i have to upload files for it , and other steps that are needed to do.

well files most be uploaded to /var/www/html

did u install any control panel...?if no then i'd recommend webmin..

mate u dont need any control panel just update plugin and upload ur rl on /var/www/html

cPanel is inatalled in the VPS ,
i uploaded the files to /var/www/html
by the following command:-

cd /var/www/html
wget http://rapidleech.googlecode.com/fil...ech-svn322.zip
unzip *.zip
cp -r r322/* /var/www/html/
rm -r -f r322
chmod 777 files
chmod 777 configs
cd configs
chmod 777 files.lst

but still no access to RL

sir if cpanel installed you can't upload RL in /var/www/html coz it doesn't execute php scripts in that folder only html files are allowed .

you will need to create new account in cpanel and upload RL to /home/new-created-account/public_html and access i via http://IP/~new-created-account/

I did the same thing created a new CPanel account using WHM , then uploaded the RL to it's public_html

then tried to access it using http://IP/~demo/
( new-created-account by me - name is demo)


but got same error:-

404 Not Found

The server can not find the requested page:

Any idea ..? about this

Hello,

Please go to Security Center >> First option (Apache mod_userdir Tweak)

and uncheck (Enable mod_userdir Protection) aka Disable mod_userdir Protection
