I can't even get your site to load, after a minute I just gave up and closed your browser. If you leave it like that you will lose ALOT of visitors..
Whats your budget? What country do you prefer? Specifications? I think that would allow people to answer your questions more easily.

maybe server on which your site hosted is already overloaded. I don't see any reason for dedicated server, when your site can run on Shared plan smoothly.
Also, check your code, there may be some hidden iframes.

Quality VPS on non-overloaded node is better that low-end dedicated server. VPS's should be hosted on reliable and much better hardware than a low-end deidcated server can offer you.
Please note you will have to optimize your VPS and its services(httpd, php, mysql) to get better results. From my experience running nginx aside Apache for serving static content gives much better results and speeds. You might want to give it a try.KnownSRV.com - Quality comes at a price, and we provide it at affordable prices.

2 Gib Ram is more than enough for a site like yours.
Nginx + php fpm
I am running a site which gets <= 10 K visitors on a 512 MB xen vps with no problems..
hire a server admin for optimizing your server .Coding Horror Fan
I don't read PM's frequently .
