If you are sat in front of the server then yes I guess it would be possible but if not then I doubt it but I am not well versed with the more technical side of things with servers so I could be wrong. Just an educated guess more than anything.

To convert an ISO to an AVI file you are in need of codecs and an application that can do the conversion for you. Hence why I said if you were/are sat in front of the server then yes you could possibly do it depending on what operating system was running on the said server.

use some windows flavor and use an encoder that encodesdvd/iso streams to avi

or ubuntu with wine etc. you can do it with any linux distro but its pretty in depth and you need to know what your doing

i know a few who are using linux servers to distribute and encode full dvdrips into avi mkv etc.

I know it's possible. I've done that for over two years just search and search but you need a dedicated server or a strong VPS.

Follow these steps one by one. I just encoded a dvdiso to mp4(using x264 codec).
