Ad codes on my Wordpress site

I am having problems installing ad codes and social networking buttons on my wordpress site and need some help and advice with installing them, i have no html skills so a complete novice and any help would be much appreciate.

Its pretty easy to add codes but if you dont know how to then you can add them to the widget boxes in WP.


for example if you want to add them in the footer, open up the footer template and add the code in there, for example look for the copyright notice and add it below it and that will add the ads below the copyright

Not having any luck with these codes as the banners and buttons have different locations, could someone here please do them for me?
