A blog can get you more money as it concentrates people on your links rather than having thousands of links by other but neither are as good as this.

If your just after money from downloading I wouldn't even bother trying to create a site as it will be a long long time before you get any decent traffic. Their is a lot of work involved in setting up a site and costs as well such as a domain and hosting.

What you should do is just find a site with a lot of traffic and ask to become an uploder on them instead. eg. HQ-Uploads.com is owned by Mr-R-T who's a smod here. If you were to post on his site and get your links submitted you'd get thousands of downloads as he's 5 stars on the major DDL sites and also get's a nice bit of organic traffic.

There are a lot of good sites with decent traffic around here that are in need of uploaders or posters.

If you really do want your own site then then this idea is of no use.
