Spam on KWWHunction

The spam is getting a lot worse but that's because of reCaptcha being cracked. Their's an article on vBulletin about it.

If you think about it though it is the staff who have to remove the spam so their obviously well aware of the problem and elj said they were working on it yesterday.

Onto the point of this topic:
A tip to everyone is just report it. If you go replying to the spam with 'gtfo' etc. then you are just helping the topic have a link on the forum index. If you just ignore it and continue as normal then other topics go above it and their is way more chance of it not being indexed by Google which is what the spammers want.

Remember Google can count users and replies. You may have seen this sometimes in Google search results where it says "6 replies by 4 authors" so the more you reply to spam the more Google thinks it's important and this all helps the spammer.

While we can't remove the spam we can do our best to make sure we don't make it better for them.

That's just not realistic due to the quantity needing approval not to mention how boring and repetitive a task that is.

Just add Q&A verification on registration. Change the Q every month. Or use a random system.
