review - tastro.org new show/hide javascript and new posting platform

hi,

i have updated tastro.org a little bit again... and need some opinions if it's good or bad... what do you think... what do you like and what you don't like... what would you change, etc.

also that's how the new posting a new thread platform looks like (it's right on the first page after you login, no need to click on links to get to it, you can operate from the first page):



added a nice show/hide javascript function to view the posts (also no more need to click on links to see the content of the posts, you can view it with 1 click from the search page as JS is faster then if the page must be loaded again):



all opinions are welcome. the more of them the better.

I suggest you add a hide button/link at the bottom of the post too. If it's a post thats very very large in height people have to scroll all their way up to hide the contents again.

i like js a lot, but i have a question if you use js how search engines will crawl the website?

search engines can crawl most of the JS. they just can't crawl ajax.

the content is always on the page just hidden in the source page.

i love tastro but unfortunately its going traffic less

ye i know... but the last week it's going up again... check alexa again in a few days. 1-2

the taffic dropped because we got penalized by google for selling links... but now after we removed this, the site just needs some time to get the traffic back.

Nice concept but not good for your site's seo at all.

Would be better if only logged in users could see this, and guests/search engines get redirected to another page with the topic there.


@design: your site design sucks to be honest, get some graphics there.

@singlelinks ye i know... trying to fix this... it's because of the images in the posts... as theyr are all loading when a search page is loaded. gotta figure out to load the images later or something like that. actually... the site loades fast... it just shows that the site is still loading because the images are loading which are on other sites... also only the icon top-left is different.

@SJshah the SEO works pretty good like that, i must say. but you are probally right about adding some graphics. gotta make some good ones.

the site should load faster now. added ajax.
