why u need mod for that simple work if you have ssh access then its so easy to take backup if not use mysqldumper using this i can take big dump backup

There is also no need to close the forum. You are just reading records.

Just use file manager to create a folder called storage under the /home/YOUR_Folder so it is not accessible to the public.

In cron choose run once a day and use this command line :

mysqldump -u YOUR_Username -pYOUR_Password YOUR_Databasename | gzip -9 > /home/YOUR_Folder/storage/YOUR_Databasename.sql.gz

So it does it auto everynight.

mysqldumper is an great program if u set an cron job for that work it will take backup based on cron job and it also can upload into your ftp server also auto its have sql splitter also
