YEs there are people who are doing this. warezscene was also doing this. i have seen many other forums doing this. May be one of the forum was top-stuff.info. I don't remember the sites well but i do remember this that they were ranked 4 or 5 on katz.

I am stuck too ...
I made the guest section visible to guests but when i try to acces it like a guest i still get that register message.
Also when I go to index (as a guest ) it gives me the register page.

Can someone help me?

you need to set the permissions for that single forum for guest to view it
