Using the Store option, WinRAR only re-packets the data and makes them RAR files.

Using the slow method, WinRAR re-packets differently trying to save space, which is impossible on mp3, avi or png files. So by not using 'Store', you only loose time and save CPU usage, which is not an issue with Quad Xeon. The only thing that gets the most damage is the Hard Disks. Raring speed depends on all, HDD connection, RAM memory and CPU.

I actually studied Computing & Networks and know that whatever you do on the server using a Remote connection, a slow connection does not affect any of the server resources, just your own experience won't be so..smooth.
