Custom Jokes/Fun Site Script


I have created a custom script for a fun/joke site. It is fully functioning and was coded in a way for future improvements.

Main Page
The custom script contains a main page which shows visitors the Newest, Most Viewed, Random and Highest Rated submissions. Each line shows the amount of pluses, and the amount of negative ratings. Displayed to the right is the tags, total number of views, and what type of submission it is. The titles or tags are limited to a max length with ... as a separator.



Content Pages
The content pages is broken up into 3 main parts.

The first part lists the number and the tags linking to tag pages. The next line shows what user submitted it and when. The final line shows the total number of views.



The middle of the content page shows the actual image, flash or video.

The last part of the content page allows the user to rate the image up or down. They have the option of sharing the page on a variety of services. The voting is tracked to prevent cheating.




Other Stuff
Tag Pages - Lists all content with similar tags
Search - search for content
User Pages - show all submissions by a user + sorting by category
User Submission - allows users/guests to submit
Urls - easy to remember using RewriteEngine id= is just domain / number
Admin - Accept submission, edit live submissions, note pad to work with other admins, and a semi automatic bot to add content
Database - contains 500+ things
Lot of little things, 2 much to mention

So this is my review as I have used it multiple times. It started off very simple but Del put some work into it and now it will leech and submit funny images and videos from various sources.

The ACP is very friendly. Its simple, clean and easy to navigate. With this simple and easy to use ACP, you can submit hundreds of images and videos to your site within an hour (1)

No hard work required in sharing content on your site... Copy a link, paste it in, select the type (YouTube, Flash, Picture, etc) and the script does the rest.

I think everything regarding the script is great. If you have any questions and Del isn't around, message me or post here.

I could but then I would probably sell more then one and provide updates, however it would lose value. I think its better for only one person to have it so it stays unique.
