I experienced the same problem. My Rapidleech server was located in Germany. Max upload speed I got from Megaupload was 600KB/s.

For free users Megaupload also caps the upload speed.

Megaupload caps upload speed to 500 kb/s per file. Nothing wrong with your Rapidleech. Its the same for both free and premium users.

I sent an e-Mail to Megaupload many months ago regarding the issue of very slow upload speeds.
They claim that they DO NOT CAP UPLOAD SPEEDS AT ALL!!! They blamed it on my/our ISP's having a bad route to one or more of their datacenters!!
Despite my 1GBPs VPS is based in the USA... My personal computer is in the United Kingdom, and also using a Rapidleech a few months ago in the Netherlands, my upload speed was ALWAYS the same - 300 - 400KB/s!!
There is only one realistic way of uploading to Megaupload.... REMOTE UPLOADING!!

^should reply back to them... "i have a lifetime account with MU. i am trying to backup my files onto your cloud servers so that i can access anywhere. however i am noticing very slow uploading speeds. i have tried other hosts and i can upload faster. its just i have a lifetime account so i dont want to waste that. ive read that you limit uploading speeds."

then go on about like if they dont change you will change to a new service and would like your money back blah blah blah.

if they lose a customer that means no money for them. they want your money so they will probably change it for you or for everyone.

i am actually sick of limited speeds. its like the same shit the US ISPs are trying to pull on customers by saying hey we got speed... but we limit your ass for shits in giggles.

I didn't bother replying to this utter BS !! I just changed my primary filehost.
They claim they don't cap/limit speeds, but yet so many people around the world have exactly the same problem!!
Sooner or later people should just boycott Megaupload just like they did with Rapidshare when they changed to their "Rapids" system. They lost SO MUCH business by doing that, I'm surprised they just didn't change it back straight away!! Hardly find any links on RS now.
