Normally if you motherboard can take it. then the os can take it.

With 64MB RAM you can even install Windows ME or 2000.

you can run win7. although it hasnt been physically tested its been tested with vmware. probably take you a few days to install.

but i suggest you throw on a linux distro

My first PC had 16MB RAM and a 800MB HDD.. It was running with Win95, so yours will be fine with 98. I remember i was running Win98 with a 300MHz Pentium, at 128RAM.
