No one is safe. Only cases about pirating that happened in India, and that I know of. Are the ones when students try to profit by selling pirated movies, games, and music in real life.

When it comes to using server located in India, for a site that's against the law, is quite possible. And you can do it if you have connections in some DC.

But you have to understand that no one is untouchable, anyone who says that DMCA or any other copyright organization can be ignored is lying. And they will do ANYTHING to get your site down.

Cooperate, stay low-profile, and you'll be fine.

^^ you are saying that, assume, some uploader from india already got caught by foreign anti piracy agencies online and they complain to indian authorities/interpol and police comes and you somehow manage to escape from police from bribing ..

but wont the agencies check if the person got caught ??

anyways , i know indian laws and enforcement are weak regarding this .

what are you talking about , i havnt heard a single case where uploaders (not real life sellers) were raided by police because they found they were posting to warez forums and sharing links ..

It's not just posting and sharing of links. If it was that, they would be Angels. But, It's something else. They're sophisticated, using VPS's, leech scripts, uploading more than 1TB with their servers, and earning money. And that does bring attention. So I wouldn't be surprised if some of them get raided by the police. Just think of how much damage they make? Real person (real uploader) wouldn't be able to make so much damage with his home connection in 1 month, like they do it in a week.

I already said, India is not strict regarding Cyber Crimes. So its hard you will ever hear a case like this.
