    Default IPB or vB

How many of you use vB and how many IPB

I am really having a bad time with IPB now ( Eating too much CPU and memory The MySQL is always fucked up )

    I am using IPB 3.1.4

Cant really run any other site on same server the IPB is installed in .. spending so much on VPS without making a single dine

I've been using vBulletin since 2007, and always liked it. It has its good sides, and bad sides. For example, IPB is far more better when it comes to the user profiles, galleries, reputation system, its default style is great. If you have any girls on your forum, many of them would prefer IPB over vBulletin.

vBulletin is kinda simple, it always depends on what kind of forum do you own. Is it a community, or just a "links dumpster". If it is, you can start using vBulletin. But if you do own a forum with members who like to chat, post their pictures, etc. Stick to the IPB, as you don't have to do a single thing with the design, and you don't need to remove anything. So pretty much IPB doesn't need require removing of unnecessary things while vBulletin does require. As it has bunch of unnecessary things, at least I spend 10-15 minutes after vBulletin installation removing things that I don't need.

IPB is more easily customizable while vB is harder to manage. However, IPB starts to have issues when the forum grows, I had restarted my forum which had 25k members cause IPB was causing it to lag like hell. I have never had this problem with vB but vB4 is something that many don't like so that's the only bad point 3.8.4 has stopped development so you won't get anything new.

I like VB more that IPB because it's more widely used and uses less specs.
